Five Ways to come up with an idea for a script

If only coming up with fresh ideas was as easy as getting a blowjob in West Hollywood. Try these seven ideas to jumpstart your muse:

1. Read. Newspapers simply ooze ideas out of their soon-to-be extinct pages. Books, comics, and magazines work, too.

2. Go outside and live a little. Excluding Nicholas Cage, few of us really want to watch a movie about a struggling writer sitting in front of a blank monitor.

3. Get over that I’ve got to create something original crap. As the last person who slept with me can tell you, there’s absolutely nothing original in this world. Your job is to take the “7” basic plots and add a fresh, “original” spin to them.

4. Public Domain. This means that you can borrow, use, or rework previous stories guilt free.

5. Travel. Not only can you come up with great story ideas this way-- you can also get laid.

Don’t worry so much about your writing possibly sucking. Look at all the crap that gets published everyday.
