Queers on the Verge Launches, Kicks Some Gluteus, and Shows Off Gay Indie Talent

New entertainment and networking site showcases gay musicians and content producers

West Hollywood, October 5, 2009 -- User-driven gay film, video, and new media website Queers on the Verge has officially launched beta.  The website aggregates gay music, trailers, shorts, web shows, and, yes, even offers a little eye candy.  What makes Queers on the Verge stand out in a very short list of gay non-pornographic entertainment sites is that the focus is on independent gay talent and work.

Prince did it.  So did Radiohead.  But giving away your music for free doesn't seem to be making anyone but already established artists rich.  Many musicians and filmmakers upload their videos to YouTube in the hopes of becoming the next big thing.  Sadly, your chances are better at going viral if you're a kitty spinning in a dryer.  That's where Queers on the Verge comes in.

Queers on the Verge uses YouTube codes and then uploads indie content and music to its website.  This is done in collaboration with the content creators.  The content is then showcased on Queers on the Verge website without the clutter of numerous advertisements and other detractors.  Gay directors and editors are welcomed to submit their reels for the Internet community to see and, perhaps, hire them.

Music videos, film/video/new media, and Man on the Verge are the main pages.  Man on the Verge displays photographs of a variety of men with their own stories to tell.  Just like the people who participate on the Queers on the Verge website.
